General Manager

I have worked in the Golf Industry for 20+ years primarily in Golf Course Management. During that time my golf has been infrequent but I was once a keen player. I love the game and enjoy being involved in it in my chosen career.

I have been fortunate to see different parts of the world from USA to Singapore, and to have lived in some beautiful parts of the UK, Stratford-upon-Avon, Stamford and the last couple of years in Aberdeenshire. Newmachar is a great facility and I really enjoy working for the people.

The last 12 months have flown by and it has been a steep learning curve moving into the other parts of the business. I have completed part of my qualifications with the Club Managers Association of Europe and look forward to completing that in 2022.

Membership Services Administrator

I have been at the Club since March 2021 and have loved my time here so far. It has been great to meet, interact and engage with all Newmachar GC members.
It’s good to be part of the compact team here at Newmachar and its clear to see all staff are driven to work together for future success.

I have been lucky to work at some amazing golfing establishments before my time here at Newmachar - including Trump International, The Duke's St. Andrews & Kauri Cliffs in New Zealand. In addition, I graduated with a Ba(Hons) in Golf Management from the University of The Highlands and Islands in 2020.

Business Development Manager

My working life started as an Electrical & Refrigeration Engineer, Qualified in many areas of this diverse industry.
I have a passion for Surfing & Snowboarding and started a Extreme Retail sports business in 1993. I built this business over 25 years with Store front and multiple websites in E-commerce & Surf School & Hire. I have developed & managed large teams of staff in varied areas of business.

In 2018 I started at NGC as Golf Coordinator - Developed a 6 week schools golf program & Kids Autistic Golf program. Delivering this to 1500+ children over the 2 years. Growing the junior game at the club.
In 2020 I started as BDM, engaging with corporate clients and generating revenue from corporate membership & advertising. Building longterm relationships with our Business partners.
I built the Club Website in 2020 and manage the upkeep & running of our online presence.
I also manage all Social media platforms content and marketing currently used by the club.
I have a passion for NGC and have had roles of Junior convener, Vice-Captian & Captain since joining 15 years ago. I bring commitment & drive to deliver a better service to our Golf Club & Facility.

Part-time Accounts Administrator


Joining NGC’s coaching programme with my 2 children in 2018, I caught the golf bug and spent many hours at the club as a member. 
Taking time out from a 25-year career in the oil and gas industry, I was fortunate to be offered a part time administration role with the club in September 2019. 

Scottish Golf’s ethos “good governance, including processes, systems and practices will help ensure accountability and transparency, getting it right builds a strong foundation for future success and long-term sustainability” is one I believe in, focus on and apply to my administrative responsibilities.
