Lee brings a wealth of experience to this position being a qualified Class AA PGA professional for 35 years and also an accomplished successful European Tour player and Scottish Tartan Tour player, winning multiple events over the years. Lee, a natural and gifted player at a very young age, won both the British Boys and Scottish Boys and is one of five golfers to represent Scotland at Boys, Youths and Mens level in the same year. His coaching achievements include being the National Golf Coach for Trinidad and Tobago, guiding them to victory in the Caribbean Team Championships in 2003.
Lee has been instrumental in the development of some of Scotland's top juniors as a Performance and Development coach with Scottish Golf since 2016.
Lee has taught golfers at all levels with a philosophy rooted in the “player discovery” approach. “I am a facilitator of learning. I believe that every player has potential and my aim is to create a conducive environment for learning that enables the player to problem solve and take ownership of their goals. The technology (e.g video analysis, Trackman, etc) is just another tool to help the player to gain a quick understanding of their swing motion or biomechanics, but getting the fundamentals right is the key to rapid repeatable and sustainable success.”
Lee said: “I am passionate about the development of the juniors and growing the game, particularly getting more girls and women participating in golf.” & “Golf is a game for life. We are not only creating a special place to develop juniors in golf, we are also teaching them invaluable life skills."
